Toyota innova crysta Limited Edition Launched

Car-maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor today launched a limited edition of its multi-utility vehicle Innova, priced at Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).  The new variant -- Innova Crysta -- will be powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine and will have Bharat Stage-III and IV emission norms options, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.  "The Innova has been our flagship brand in India and has been a market leader since launch. The new limited edition Innova Crysta is aimed at offering exclusive ownership experience by offering enhanced luxury features," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.  The company will sell only 1,000 units of the limited edition of the vehicle till October, 2011, he added. Mercedes Benz launches SLK 350 at Rs 61.9 lakh

German luxury car maker Mercedes Benz on Wednesday announced the launch of 'SLK 350' in the country, priced at Rs 61.9 lakh (ex showroom New Delhi).  Commenting on the sales expectations from the new model, Mercedes Benz India Director (Sales and Marketing) Debashis Mitra said: "Last year, we were selling 3-4 cars a month. We hope with the new SLK we will be improving that number".  The new car will come to India as a completely built unit (CBU) and will be available in petrol version, Mitra said, adding that the company sold around 3-4 cars a month of SLK 200 last year.  Speaking about affect of the recent interest rate hikes and increase in cost of petrol on the luxury car segment, Mitra said the impact would not be substantial.  "..the luxury car industry will be impacted, we cannot say it won't be impacted. M&M to develop joint product platform with SsangYong

The Countries largest Utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra today said it was in the process of finalising product platforms jointly with South Korea's SsangYong Motor Co which it acquired last year.  "We are investing in product and brand development in SsangYong Motor Co. Both the teams of M&M and SsangYong Motor Co are working together to develop new product platforms over the next 3-4 years," M&M President Automotive Sector Pawan Goenka told reporters here.  M&M had acquired a 70 per cent stake for USD 378 million in the South Korea's third-largest maker of sport utility vehicles, Ssangyong Motor Co in 2010.  "We are not expecting SsangYong Motor to turnaround this year, but we are focusing on volume growth of the company," Goenka said, adding that the company is pleased with Ssangyong's performance and it is on track to achieve target of 1,20,000 units in 2011.  The company has sold 55,000 units in the first six months and hopes...
