Audi India posts 79% sales growth in February

German luxury car maker Audi today reported 78.57 per cent increase in its sales in India during February at 450 units.

The company had sold 252 units in the same month last year, Audi India said in a statement.

Commenting on the company's sales performance, Audi India Head Michael Perschke said the firm had a good performance in 2010 establishing it as "the fastest growing luxury car brand in India".

"This successful run continues this year too. 2011 is a critical year for Audi in India and we will see the announcement of several initiatives on the product and network front," he added.

Audi had recently expanded its product line with the launch of flagship, the Audi A8 L and the super sports car, the Audi R8 V10, which are now available in showrooms across India.-PTI
