Can Hero brand create a new Image?


The Hero, Honda combination story will an come an end by March, the Hero group will drop the Honda name, following the exit of joint-venture. The Hero group has roped in London based consultancy firm Wolff Olins to create a new brand identity. The new brand identity will include a new logo, brand name and brand positioning. The company also plans to remove the Honda brand from its flagship products- Splendor and Passion by this June. Honda will supply technology till 2014.   


A successful Joint-venture came to and end because of both the companies individual plans. Honda which already has a presence in the Indian Market will add more products in its portfolio to strengthen the brand and increase its market share, meanwhile local players such as Bajaj autos and TVS will also take this as an opportunity and fight for the first spot which the Hero Honda brand carried over the years.
