Ferrari to hit Indian roads soon

Italian sports car Ferrari will be launched in India and will be avaliable in the price band of Rs 2.27 crore to 3.37 crore. Ferrari, part of Italy's largest car company Fiat auto, has signed a deal with India's Shreyans group to import and sell these cars by spring this year.

The first showroom will open in Delhi shortly, followed by Mumbai in the second half of this year. Shreyans group said it is also looking at Pan-India presence in long term.

The new entity will have independent operation in India and will not be associtated with Fiat Auto India, that has been in India for quite some time.

Ferrari will compete with the likes of other super sports cars like Lamborghini that is part of the Volkswagen group and also sold independently in the Indian market.
